Travis Kelce knew what he wanted, and boy, he got her. Taylor Swift and the NFL star are engaged! They announced the happy news in the most enchanting way possible, with a fairytale-like photoshoot shared to Instagram.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” the pair captioned the collaborative post.
The news comes not long after Swift dropped by Kelce’s New Heights podcast, where she discussed her upcoming 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, and where she and Kelce flirted so hard they gave us chills.
The “So High School” singer flashed her massive diamond ring from her NFL boyfriend—or shall we say fiancé—in one of the photos in the slideshow, and both are seen flashing big, goofy, love-struck smiles as the hug, hold hands, and post amongst arches of flowers.
They did not say where and when the soon-to-be Mr. Swift popped the question, nor did they reveal any future wedding plans. But as Swifties well know, all we have to do is wait… a listen to the music… and overanalyze her outfits… and read between the lines, to learn more.
While the engagement news came as a surprise, given that we were all just expecting to continue hearing about Swift’s new music, it’s not a total shock, as rumors of an engagement have surrounded the pair for some time. Kelce was even confronted with the claims in February, and he had a very coy reaction.
Swift and Kelce began publicly dating (after months of secretly dating) in September 2023. Since then, they’ve supported one another at major music, Hollywood, and sporting events, as well as been together at intimate family gatherings—including low-key holiday celebrations. Their relationship, while Swift’s most public to date, has proved to be true (“swear, scouts honor”) and earnest. And this July, the couple finally went Instagram-official. Just in time.
