It’s not easy to attend Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding.
The ceremony uniting the “Love Story” singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end in matrimony will reportedly see between 500 and 999 guests in attendance at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday evening — and details on the event seem to be scarce even for those on the guest list.
One guest attending the wedding told Variety that they had to pay an extra premium in order to reserve their hair and makeup team for a full 24 hour period around the wedding, as high-end stylists and makeup artists are so in-demand among the sports and entertainment elite this weekend that a shorter reservation could mean losing the beauty team to someone else.
“It’s a really fun s— show,” the unidentified guest said.
More than a dozen sources indicated that the Tayvis wedding guests have been “flying blind” in the days leading up to the ceremony, as minimal details about the event’s dress code and theme had been communicated as of Thursday. (However, multiple sources told PEOPLE that the event would have a black-tie dress code.)
A publicist who works with luxury fashion houses told Variety that there has been a huge demand for designer outfits for a wedding this week — but nobody has actually explained whose wedding it is.
“We’ve had a lot of requests for talent attending,” the publicist said. “No one has said explicitly whose wedding they are attending, but we all know.”

Why the secrecy? Variety reported that the wedding’s digital invitations came with non-disclosure agreements that forbade invitees from spilling the beans about the ceremony.
One guest complained to the outlet about the couple’s chosen venue. “Who on earth is in Manhattan for the Fourth of July?” they griped. “This couldn’t have been a destination wedding?”
Variety also shared a number of names who reportedly made the invite list, including Disney executives Bob Iger, David Greenbaum, and Dana Walden; country stars Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert, and Maren Morris; AMC Theaters CEO Adam Aron; and Disclosure Day filmmaker Steven Spielberg, who inducted Swift into the Songwriters Hall of Fame last month.

Swift and Kelce’s wedding festivities are now underway in New York. A massive amount of A-list entertainers and celebrities have been spotted making their way to Madison Square Garden on Friday, including Dakota Johnson, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Lena Dunham, Jack Antonoff, Aaron Dessner, the Haim sisters, Julianne Moore, Ellie Goulding, Benson Boone, Jenny Han, Nikki Glaser, Eric Stonestreet, and Mariska Hargitay.
