Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s rumored July 4 wedding is surely one of the most anticipated events of the summer.
However, there might be some room for awkwardness among the high-profile guests who are set to attend the grand wedding.
The reason? Some of these celebrities might have an uneasy encounter with their exes.
According to the Daily Mail, singer-songwriter Jack Antonoff might be invited to the wedding since he is considered to be one of Swift’s closest friends.
However, his ex, Lena Dunham, who recently revealed that she cheated on him during their time together, might also grace the wedding since she is also said to be a close friend of The Way I Loved You singer and had even asked Swift to be her bridesmaid when she tied the knot with Luis Felber in 2021.
In her recently released memoir, Famesick, Dunham confessed that she had reconnected with an ex named Nick when her then boyfriend Antonoff was allegedly growing close with pop sensation Lorde.
For a long time, rumors were rife that Antonoff and Lorde were dating, but the duo repeatedly denied the same.
Now, Antonoff, who is currently married to Margaret Qualley, might be an attendee at Swift and Kelce’s wedding, only to come face to face with his ex, Dunham, which might turn out to be an awkward affair.
Gracie Abrams, Paul Mescal, and Phoebe Bridgers
On the other hand, both Gracie Abrams and Phoebe Bridgers might be attending Swift’s big day, having previously opened for her at the 2023 U.S. leg of her Eras Tour.
However, their encounter with each other might be an awkward affair, considering Bridgers had previously dated Abrams’ current boyfriend, actor Paul Mescal.
Not only this — Bridgers and Mescal were also rumored to be engaged before their split.
If Mescal attends the wedding as Abrams’ plus one, it would certainly be an uncomfortable situation for Bridgers, who might also be present at the occasion.

Another nearly-confirmed guest at the high-profile wedding might be Gigi Hadid, who had struck a close bond with the Love Story hitmaker around 10 years ago and also appeared in her music video for Bad Blood.
There are high chances that Hadid might attend the wedding with her beau, Bradley Cooper.
However, things might turn chaotic on the occasion since Cooper’s ex, Suki Waterhouse, might also be there for Swift and Kelce’s big day.
Waterhouse happens to be another close friend of the singer and is currently in a relationship with Twilight star Robert Pattinson, with whom she also has a daughter.
Sophie Turner, Chris Martin, and Dakota Johnson
Swift formed a close friendship with Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner shortly after the latter’s split from her former husband Joe Jonas.
The singer had also allowed the actress to stay at her New York apartment.
Turner was briefly linked to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin after the duo separated from each other’s previous partners.
However, Martin’s ex Dakota Johnson might also attend the wedding since she is reportedly shares a close friendship with the Blank Space singer.
It is also possible that Martin might receive an invitation, which will result in him bumping into Turner and Johnson.
The Batman actress Zoe Kravitz might also be present at Swift and Kelce’s wedding because of her friendship with the singer. She might turn up with her rumored fiancé, Harry Styles, as a plus one.
Interestingly, Styles and Swift had dated briefly between 2012 and 2013.
Shawn Mendes might also get an invitation to the event, where he might bump into Camila Mendes and Sabrina Carpenter, who are said to be close to Swift as well.
While Shawn dated Camila between 2019 and 2021, he was also said to have been romantically linked with Carpenter in early 2023, with whom he reportedly had a temporary fling.
Hence, there are strong chances that the trio might bump into each other.
These scenarios might make the guests a little awkward, despite the fanfare.
