Pop star Taylor Swift has officially confirmed her 12th studio album and she did it while sitting next to boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, on his hit podcast “New Heights.”
In a preview clip released ahead of the Wednesday episode, Swift appeared alongside Travis Kelce and his brother, co-host Jason Kelce.
With a small smile, she placed a briefcase marked with gold “T.S.” initials on the table. Then came the big reveal.
“So I want to show you something,” Swift said as she opened it. “This is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl.”
The reveal followed heavy speculation from Swifties. On Monday morning, her official social media team, Taylor Nation, posted 12 photos from the Eras Tour, all featuring the singer in bright orange outfits.
Comment sections quickly filled with theories about a new album and hints that Swift would appear on “New Heights.”
Adding to the buzz, a silhouette of a woman against an orange background appeared in “New Heights’” promotional image for this week’s episode, alongside Travis Kelce wearing Eras Tour merchandise.
The excitement escalated when Swift’s official website added a countdown ending at exactly 12:12 a.m. ET on Aug. 12.
Beginning in May 2024, she introduced multiple orange costumes, including an orange “Lover” bodysuit and blazer, along with an orange dress for her acoustic section. Fans began to believe orange would be the theme color for “TS12.”

Swift’s last album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” released in April 2024, spent 17 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It was her most successful album debut and earned another Album of the Year Grammy nomination.
In a previous teaser, the couple didn’t just talk music, they also gave fans a rare look at their playful dynamic. At one point, Swift complimented Travis Kelce’s blue hoodie, saying, “Such a nice color on you.”
“It’s the color of your eyes, sweetie,” the tight end replied. “That’s why we match so well.”
The clip showed a relaxed Swift smiling and laughing through the banter, something fans immediately shared across social media.
The full “New Heights” episode featuring Swift will premiere Wednesday and is expected to include more details about “The Life of a Showgirl.”
Whether or not she reveals the release date during the podcast, Swift has once again managed to turn a simple teaser into a worldwide event.
