Taylor Swift appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert ahead of the release of her End of an Era docuseries—and the pop superstar revealed something major in the process.
On Wednesday, Dec. 10, the “Live of a Showgirl” singer, 35, sat down with Stephen Colbert, 61, ahead of the release of the six-episode Disney+ documentary series about her Eras Tour.
For the sit-down, Swift rocked a red off-the-shoulder dress that showed off her legs, pairing the look with a diamond necklace and matching bracelets. The “Opalite” singer wore her hair in a sleek updo with her signature bangs and red lip.
During their sit-down, Colbert asked Swift for advice for “coming down” from the high of the Eras Tour after two years, likening the change of pace to what Colbert faces after The Late Show ends in May 2026. Swift called them both “passionate, hyperactive people,” explaining that she channeled her energy into hobbies.
“Like, I’m bread girl now,” she joked of her sourdough bread obsession. “Or I’m like, you know, ‘This isn’t going to cross-stitch itself.'”
Of Colbert, she added, “You love to do a million things to prepare for this. You give everything to the people that watch your show. You can give that to your friends and family, your community.”
The late-night host then pointed out, “But my friends and family don’t chant my name, Taylor.”

Later, in their conversation, Colbert asked Swift about who she looks to for advice. The first person Swift mentioned was Stevie Nicks.
“Being able to talk to her and have a phone call with her and, like, hear what she’s been through… and she paved the way for me and any other artist to get do this on this level,” Swift shared. “So I feel very lucky that she’s kind of like lended her very magical, wonderful, wise approach to life to me.”
Additionally, Swift said Max Martin, a producer on The Life of a Showgirl, was another person she goes to for advice.
“My third-favorite person—and it’s not in any order because I do talk to him a lot more than the other two—is Travis,” she said of her fiancé, Travis Kelce. “I can talk to him about any of this, you know?”
Finally, Swift made a major revelation when Colbert asked her to choose the top five songs out of her own catalog. She revealed that No. 1 was “All Too Well (10 Minute Version).” However, Swift said she’d have to get back to him on the other ones, but noted that her track “Mirrorball” was also on there somewhere.
Ahead of her appearance, The Late Show posted a playful clip of Swift and Colbert lip-syncing her 2008 song “Hey Stephen” while doing light choreography. “Hey @stephenathome, I know looks can be deceiving, but @taylorswift is really here,” the Instagram account captioned its update.
