In an interview with The New York Times, Moore was asked how she helped the songwriter become a “more confident dancer.” In response, the instructor stated that Swift used to have a “bad rap” for her dancing skills for a long time. “So she was really in her head,” the professional dancer stated. This seemed to have affected the “Cruel Summer” vocalist’s confidence. But things changed after the choreographer tried a different technique.
“We shifted the focus to how movement was already manifesting in her body — the way she naturally wanted to move,” Moore said. Although she “fine-tuned” the soloist’s moves, the 49-year-old producer gave credit to Swift’s “tenacity” and hard work.
“Whatever I was putting down, she was picking up. And she’s very clear about what she wants, which I love,” she mentioned. Furthermore, Moore had the freedom to work on some “parameters” with the “Lover” hitmaker. This helped to avoid the process from being chaotic.
