3, 2, 1, Taylor Swift’s BRAND NEW song for Toy Story 5 is out! “I Knew It, I Knew You” is an upbeat country song about reuniting with an old friend, but the lyrics are highly emotional—recounting the moment you remember you still love someone that you haven’t seen for a long time.
And for those wondering who the song is about…that would be Jessie from Toy Story!
Taylor opened up about her creative process, saying “Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time. Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once. And being a @toystory kid from the age of 5 til now… is an adventure I plan to be on, to infinity and beyond.”
She went on to thank Andrew Stanton and Randy Newman, before shouting out Jack Antonoff by saying “we wrote this with so much adoration for these characters that made us laugh and helped us learn lessons and think outside the backyard all throughout our childhoods.”
