KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Strange Music Inc., a local recording studio co-founded by Kansas City rapper and producer Tech N9ne, has a new project in the works and is looking for more people to be a part of it.
On Monday, the Lee’s Summit-based studio shared a casting call on Facebook, giving residents across the metro the opportunity to be an extra in a new and “strange” music video for an unnamed artist.

The casting call says the video will be shot in Warrensburg, Missouri, on Wednesday. Meals will be provided, and it is expected to take only a few hours.
If you are interested, Strange Music Inc. asks that you email [email protected] with your name, contact information and a recent photo. You will also be expected to sign a non-disclosure agreement when you arrive on set.
Who is Tech N9ne?
Since starting his musical career more than three decades ago, Tech N9ne has made his name as a prolific artist with numerous hits, high-profile collaborations and Kansas City anthems heard across the metro.
If you are from the metro, you have most likely heard his songs blasting throughout Arrowhead or Kauffman Stadium following a successful win from either team.
Hits like “KCMO Anthem” and “Red Kingdom” are probably the most notable, having grown synonymous with Kansas City sports during the Royals’ back-to-back World Series appearances and 2015 win, as well as the championship runs of the Chiefs during the current Mahomes era.

His distinct “chopper-style” raps have continued to set him apart from other artists in his field, bringing him immense success both nationally and internationally.
But what has brought Tech N9ne to astronomical levels of fame as a local artist is his continued effort to pay homage to his hometown and roots through his music — with this new, locally filmed video being just one example.
