Thai Hoa to Star in Vietnamese Dramedy ‘Mr. Hero’ for Hk Film, V Pictures and Fremantle’s Beach House

Production has begun in Vietnam on “Mr. Hero,” a dramedy centered on a down-on-his-luck father who fakes a heroic rescue to impress his daughter, only to find himself thrust into the national spotlight.

The feature marks a collaboration between Hk Film, V Pictures and Beach House Pictures, a Fremantle company. Vietnamese comedy star Thai Hoa leads the cast under the direction of Vo Thach Thao, the filmmaker behind hit series “Cay Tao No Hoa,” which attracted over 350 million viewers when it first aired in Vietnam.

Timothy Linh Bui is producing for Happy Canvas alongside Do Dinh Truong, Trinh Hoan and Tuong Vi. Thao wrote the script with Doan Hai Van.
