Lisa Whelchel rose to international stardom as Blair Warner, the snobby rich girl on the hit ’80s sitcomThe Facts of Life. But one look at the blonde beauty in 2026 makes it clear she has barely changed that much since her days on TV.
Whelchel, 62, starred in the popular series about the ups and downs of the young girls at the Eastland School alongside Kim Fields, Mindy Cohn, and Nancy McKeon. Also known as a prominent public speaker and reality star, Whelchel took to Instagram this week to announce that she’s got something big brewing.
“I haven’t published anything in almost 20 years, and I’m kinda getting ready to do it, and it’s going to be free. So stay tuned,” said Whelchel, who is still an absolute stunner after all these years.
Her Granddaughter Looks Just Like Her
Back in December, Whelchel took to Instagram to share an adorable photo of her granddaughter. One glance at the photo makes it clear that the apple didn’t fall far from the tree, because her granddaughter is a dead ringer for her grandma!
“New kindergarten school picture just dropped and my CoCoMaMa’s heart just burst.
Can’t you see the luminosity in her eyes? The sweetness in her smile? The beauty that overflows from her ancient soul to her countenance? This little one I get to call granddaughter is the embodiment of pure goodness and quiet magic. ✨🩷🐶🧚♀️,” Whelchel captioned the photo.
Whelchel Knows Exactly Where Blair Would Be These Days
When Whelchel was asked earlier this year where her iconic Facts of Life character would be these days, she instantly knew the answer.
“I can absolutely imagine her on Instagram,” Whelchel told Entertainment Weekly. “And I think she’d have a huge following, of course, because she would have lived this big, exciting life. I do think that would be the focus of her life. It would be: Is it Instagram post-worthy? And if not, it’s not even worth it.”
Whelchel, who played Warner for nine seasons on the hit series, recently hosted Collector’s Call on MeTV.
In addition to her work hosting Collector’s Call, Whelchel has dipped into reality TV. She was a contestant in Survivor: Philippines in 2012 and made it to the Final Tribal Council before being defeated. When Entertainment Weekly asked Whelchel if she would be returning for Survivor: 50, Whelchel said no.
“I was not contacted,” Whelchel told EW, explaining that she did the Survivor Quarantine Questionnaire several years back and made it clear she wasn’t interested. “I think one of the reasons is because you did do the COVID interview with me and I was very clear that I would never do it again.”
Oh, well. At least we’ll get to see White Lotus creator Mike White on the milestone season, which premieres in spring 2026 on CBS.
