Netflix film People We Meet on Vacation was released today. The film, based on the novel of the same name, follows best friends Poppy (Emily Bader) and Alex (Tom Blyth) as they fall in love through a series of vacations, including a trip to the wedding of Alex’s brother David (Miles Heizer) to his future husband Nam (Tommy Do). The movie is available to watch on Netflix now!
Kristen Stewart’s directorial debut The Chronology of Water is in theaters now! The film is based on the memoir of the same by out writer and teacher Lidia Yukanavitch, and chronicles her journey as writer and a swimmer. Find tickets for The Chronology of Water here.
Netflix has announced that the final season of hit reality series Queer Eye will return on January 21. The tenth season will follow Antoni, Jeremiah, Jonathan, Karamo and Tan as they take their heart and expertise to Washington DC. In other Netflix news, the streamer has released the trailer for the final season of The Upshaws, which features gay character Bernard Jr. (Jermelle Simon). The Upshaws will air part seven of the series on January 15; watch the trailer below!
In more TV news, out actor Ayesha Harris returned as Dr. Ellis to the Emmy Award winning series The Pitt on Thursday. Catch new episodes of The Pitt every Thursday on HBO Max. A trailer has been released for the upcoming season of Shrinking, following therapist Jimmy (Jason Segal) and his unorthodox methods. In more TV news, out Baby Reindeer star Nava Mau has been cast on Brilliant Minds, which stars Zachary Quinto as Dr. Oliver Wolf. Mau will play a mysterious party girl in episode 2.15 “Missing Person.”
A trailer has been released for FX’s The Beauty, a new series from out creator Ryan Murphy, which follows a mysterious drug that can make you beautiful and the harmful side effects. Out actor Dyllon Burnside had been cast in new indie TV series The Right Side alongside Andie MacDowell and Max Talisman. The series will follow a conservative TV couple and their contrasting image in public with their real life at home

Out actor Harvey Guillén has been announced as the new host of the Spotify podcast Serial Killers. The true crime show will stream on Spotify and Netflix simultaneously, and cover heists, cons and serial murders. The new season comes out on January 19.
Musical sensation Titanique is announcing more of its cast as the show makes its way to Broadway. Joining out lead and creator Marla Mindelle as Celine Dion are out actors Jim Parsons, Frankie Grande and Titanique co-crator Constantine Rousouli, as Ruth DeWitt Bukater, Victor Garber, and Jack Dawson respectively. The Titanic parody will open on Broadway on Sunday, April 12 at the St. James Theater.
The winners of the Critics Choice Awards were announced on Sunday. Out performers who won trophies include Tramell Tillman for Severance and Erin Doherty for Adolescence. The nominations for the Directors Guild of America Awards were also announced this week. In the category of First-Time Theatrical film, out filmmakers Eva Victor and Harry Lighton received nominations for their A24 films Sorry, Baby and Pillion respectively.
