DEEP PURPLE Releases Music Video For Latest Single ‘Diablo’

May is turning into June, and that means summer is here! You can quibble about the equinox if you want to, but for all intents and purposes, we are into the vacation season. And the music is getting appropriately hot!

New mother Latto drops her fourth album, the appropriately titled Big Mama — which she has said will be her last. And her fellow ATLien, Future, has a new single with none other than Tyla that’s just in time for the FIFA World Cup.

Anderson .Paak has a new soundtrack, meanwhile, PJ Morton says he’s done choosing between gospel and R&B. Forever repping NYC, Young M.A. is back with an inspired project; while Flo Milli reminds everyone she’s not to be played with — or underestimated.

G Herbo and Wyclef Jean collaborate on their new single; and if you love gritty, hardcore NYC street-hop, we’ve got new music from Rome Streetz; plus the latest heat from 38 Spesh. And we get a new EP from Freddie Gibbs, fam.

Each week, Okayplayer will deliver a roundup of all the latest new heat from some of our favorite artists. Check out the latest offerings in our playlist below:

NEW SONGS

FUTURE & TYLA – “GAME TIME”

A new anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup! And with this kind of cinematic, bombastic production, “anthem” is the only appropriate word. Their contrasting styles work well together.

RAVYN LENAE – “HANDLE”

She’s announced her new album, Blue Island, and it’s a project that promises to push her sound further with her uniquely distinct blends of R&B and pop. She’s giving fans their first taste with this new single.

MONALEO & TEEZO TOUCHDOWN – “EVERYTHANG PINKA”

A shimmering and vibrant track that highlights Monaleo’s playful charisma, alongside Teezo’s Texas swagger. Together, the two create a colorful, feel-good anthem.

ROME STREETZ – “COCAINE COLTRANE”

The track is a tribute to jazz legend John Coltrane, with a steady, soulful saxophone layered over a rugged, hard-hitting beat. It’s the first single of his forthcoming highly anticipated new album, Sock It To My Pocket, which drops in July.

SYD FEAT. BLU JUNE – “CALLIN’”

The LA musician and Odd Future/Internet alum has truly come into her own as a solo artist. Four years after Syd Broken Hearts Club, she’s announced Beard, the new album that she’ll drop this summer.

FLO MILLI – “LEMON DROP FREESTYLE”

The rapper out of Alabama is back with a freestyle that highlights the kind of brash energy, playful delivery, and always-on-point bars that she’s built her career on.

LA REEZY – “HOW DO YOU LOVE ME”

A breezy track from Reezy that sounds both cynical and innocent; longing and blocked off. The sound of a young man struggling with love, trust and the intentions of a person that you desperately want to be your everything.

CARI – “CRASHING OUT!”

The artist out of the UK broke big last year with her excellent debut EP Flux. She’s lived up to the word of mouth hype.

NOXZ & SHAE UNIVERSE – “CAN’T PHASE ME”

A gorgeously uplifting slice of neo-soul and dance-pop that reminds you to trust yourself and trust your path. A perfect anthem for not letting the opinion of others wear on you.

KOTA THE FRIEND – “PAYBACK”

The rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer from Brooklyn, has always done it his own and is known for his fiercely independent, DIY approach. His latest is an acoustic guitar-driven confection that highlights his gift for melodies.

G HERBO – “THUG”

The rhymer returns with this Bone Thugs-N-Harmony-sampling banger. He always delivers engaging and creative singles that are also undeniable earworms.

YG FEAT. PAYGOTTI – “GANG BIZNESS”

The Bandz-produced song features a stellar guest spot from rising West Coast rapper and 4Hunnid artist, PayGotti. The track arrives ahead of his upcoming new album, The Gentleman’s Club.

POLO G – “CLAP”

The comeback run continues. And don’t get it twisted — this is no strip club track. This is a street record about surviving when you know it’s all on the line.

D12 FEAT. XZIBIT & ICE-T – “NIGHTMARE WALKING”

Another new track paying homage to a hip-hop classic. This time it’s D12 teaming up with X to the Z and the man himself to reference Ice-T’s classic gangbanging anthem, “Colors.”

WYCLEF JEAN FEAT. G HERBO – “2010 – MR. OCTOBER”

The two stars team up on this laid-back, guitar-driven track. Clef’s vocal versatility plays well here, as he reminds everyone that there aren’t many better at pure songcraft.

AJ MCLEAN & TY DOLLA $IGN – “FLOWERS”

A strong single from a musical odd couple. They know you’re probably making a face, but the Backstreet Boy and the Cali singer/rapper work well together.

BABY J – “FALLEN ANGEL”

An emotionally charged single that blends a dark, atmospheric musical style with intense thematic storytelling. Moody, emotional production and a strong vocal-driven performance.

BLOOD ORANGE – “ESSEX HONEY.MP3”

A companion piece to his acclaimed 2025 album Essex Honey, his new track builds on the atmospheric vibe of that project. He reflects on identity over the electronica-esque production.

PJ MORTON – “CLOSE ENOUGH”

He’s made it clear that his upcoming project will meld his two musical selves: the R&B side and the gospel side. It sounds like a thriller project, and here’s another single to give you an idea of what he’s got brewing.

CAUTIOUS CLAY – “GREEN SCREEN”

His new album will be the final entry in his Hours series, and his new single delves into a light lovers rock reggae; this is a reflective look at maturation and being self-aware.

LMNY 115, FRENCH MONTANA & SOFIA REYES – “FINAL MINUTES”

This EDM-house hybrid is bursting with Latin pop-sensibility and features a high-tempo rhythm punctuated by French’s signature ad-libs and carried by Reyes’ slick vocals.

INFINITY SONG “HURRICANE”

The sibling-powered soft rock group drops their latest single – a sweeping, harmony-driven track taken from its forthcoming self-titled album. It’s a track that has an undeniable, danceable energy, carried by a kinetic, rhythm-forward pulse.

NEW ALBUMS

ANDERSON .PAAK – ‘K-POPS!’

The Cali crooner has had a wonderful working relationship with K-Pop artists and now he brings it all full circle with an album devoted to collaborations with some of the best. Serving as the soundtrack for the film of the same name.

LATTO – ‘BIG MAMA’

She has said that her new album is her last, but the Queen from ClayCo sounds as fiery as ever. Now that she’s a mama herself, it sounds like she at least wants to take a break to raise her little one. Here’s hoping this isn’t it for her.

CHXRRY – ‘U, ME & MY EGO’

The Toronto artist has seen her momentum steadily building since “Main Character,” and now it all crescendos on her debut album, a polished project that features alt-R&B, underground rap textures and slicker-than-the-average pop.

38 SPESH – ‘8 SHOTS’

He’s back with another chamber loaded for his acclaimed Shots series. His new album is an uncompromising statement piece built on precision bars, heavyweight production, and the type of authenticity that can’t be manufactured.

YOUNG M.A. – ‘KWEEN’

The Brooklyn rapper is back with her first project in five years. But don’t call it a comeback. She’s healthy, sober, and focused–which means the game better be ready. Lock in.

LABRINTH – ‘COSMIC OPERA ACT II’

The composer/producer may no longer be affiliated with HBO’s hit drama Euphoria, but the art remains otherworldly. Grammy-nominated composer and Emmy Award winner delivers some of his most emotionally compelling work here.

FETTY P FRANKLIN – ‘BET THE BANK ON FRANK’

With features from DaBaby, Bruiser Wolf, LOM Rudy, and Big Moochie Grape, the new album highlights his continued Charlotte-inspired hustle mentality and detailed storytelling, bringing in voices from across the city to deliver a hyper-regional project.

RUCCI – ‘NORFSIDE STORY’

The West Coast rapper reps Inglewood to the fullest. He drops his latest, and the follow-up to NOBODY, and this project serves as a tribute to the community that made him.

ANNONXL – ‘PRINCESS OF CHAOS’

The Philly-bred pop-R&B singer is back with his new project. A document of the artist’s persona and a glimpse into the soul of one of the more compelling writers working in music today.

K CAMP AND ZAYTOVEN – ‘GIANT’

With new features from 2 Chainz, Jacquees, Reese LaFlare, and Redhill, the 10-track album blends Camp’s signature melodic trap and R&B chops with Zaytoven’s unmistakable production style and musical DNA that has shaped the sound of Southern hip hop for nearly two decades.

YOUNG CHRIS & MADEINTYO – ‘MADE IN PHILLY’

At just nine tracks, this is a project that believes in quality over quantity. But music history has so many examples of classic projects that don’t play longer than 30 minutes. Whether this becomes revered, only time will tell–but both artists deliver the goods here.

9TH WONDER, JADA & S14H – ‘THE ZENITH’

Under the mentorship and executive production of the Grammy-winning 9th Wonder, we get North Carolina’s newest, rising duo. The album is entirely produced by 9th’s daughter JADA and features 15 tracks of Fayetteville energy.

FREDDIE GIBBS – ‘RBT’ (EP)

Gibbs new extended player is a brief but purposeful listen and definitely lingers longer after you’ve gone through it. It features an eclectic mix of distinct production styles, as the rhymer out of Gary delves into the ins and outs of being Freddie Gibbs.

ALLBLACK & JUICE LEE – ‘IF 16 WAS A LETTER’ (EP)

The Oakland-based rapper is known for his gritty, street-level lyrics and distinct “off-the-wall” flow and Lee is the “Pimp Hop” practitioner out of San Diego. SoCal and NoCal connect on a Golden State banger.

RJ PAYNE – ‘MILT6S (NOSTALGIC PAYNE) (EP)

The legendary battle rapper delivers his 21st(!) EP just a couple of months after his most recent extended play, Cinematic Payne with Drega33. Two dozen mixtapes and four full-length albums – you just are not going to outwork the dude.

SKYE NEWMAN – ‘SE9 PT. 2’

“[This project] is all about the journey of my life the past few years. It’s an insight into the strength I’ve gained and how much I’ve grown and learnt through womanhood; its acceptance, guidance and power put into music.”
