The Office’s Oscar can’t believe he’s found himself back in front of the same documentary team that followed him around for years at Dunder Mifflin, in the official trailer for the sitcom’s spin-off, The Paper.
Reprising his role as the exasperated accountant, Oscar (played by actor Oscar Nunez) wants no part in the crew’s latest project. “Not again. I’m not agreeing to any of this,” he exclaims, storming away from the cameras. “I will make this unusable — fuck. Use that.”

The new show, which premieres on Sept. 4 on Peacock, follows new editor-in-chief Ned Sampson’s (Domhnall Gleeson) ambitions to revitalize a sleepy Midwest town’s struggling newspaper, the Toledo Truth Teller.
It seems he has his work cut out for him, as his team of hesitant reporters admits the closest they’ve come to working at a legitimate paper was writing essays in middle school, posting on social media, and being part of a group text message.
“Have you read this paper? How do you think it compares to any other paper?” a staffer, played by Chelsea Frei, asks Gleeson’s character. “It sucks,” he immediately replies. “But we are going to make it better.”
The cast includes Sabrina Impacciatore, of HBO’s White Lotus, American Vandal’s Melvin Gregg, and comedians Gbemisola Ikumelo and Alex Edelman, among others.
Co-created by The Office’s Greg Daniels and Nathan For You’s Michael Koman, The Paper will premiere with four episodes on Sept. 4, followed by two new episodes every Thursday until the season finale on Sept. 25.
