AMC Theatres has officially announced that it will release Taylor Swift’s newest movie, “Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl,” alongside the release of Swift’s 12th album, “Life of a Showgirl,” on Oct. 3.
The 89-minute movie will unveil the music video for “The Fate of Ophelia,” the album’s first track, behind-the-scenes footage, lyrical videos and Swift’s reflections on making the album.
The AMC Theatres website was already flooded with people attempting to purchase tickets for Swift’s new movie, with the site implementing a digital queue to quell demand.
“Thank you for your patience as we experience high traffic volume. We have proactively created this queue for all visitors. When it is your turn, you will have 10 minutes to begin your Taylor Swift | The Official Release Party of a Showgirl ticket purchase or other online visit. To purchase tickets or make A-List reservations today for movies that are now playing, please visit an AMC Theatre near you or check back later,” a pop-up message on the AMC Theatres website read.
