THE PINEAPPLE THIEF have released a new music video!
The new track, Hold The Ashes, marks the progressive art-rock band’s first release with InsideOut Music. It also serves as the first glimpse of their as-yet-unannounced upcoming studio album, the follow-up to 2022’s Give It Back, which the band have recently completed.
Speaking about the new single, frontman Bruce Soord shares, “one thing is certain, one day we’ll all be ashes. It’s the ‘gift from the gods that comes to us all’. For some reason, when writing this song, I couldn’t stop singing about ‘ashes’ in the context of understanding what life is about. ‘Writhing in constant conflict’. Why? So take these ashes and scatter them far and wide. You know, make the most of it.”

The accompanying video, directed by long-time collaborator Jeremy George of Blacktide Productions, captures the band performing the track at School Farm Studios in the UK. With their next studio album on the horizon, THE PINEAPPLE THIEF are also set to appear at select live dates across the UK and Europe this summer.
