The Princess of Wales has released a new nature video about the joys of summer, calling it a “season for abundance” amidst time spent with family and friends outdoors.
In the second of a four-part video series timed to the seasons, Catherine’s short video about summer features families and dancers along the coast of England interspersed with shots of beekeeping, surfing, and people frolicking in the woods.
“Our lives flourish when we cherish the bonds of love and friendship,” the future queen narrates. “It is the time to ignite our inner fire and explore our own creativity, passion and dreams.”
She continues: “As we bask in the sunlit hours, friends and families come together playing, connecting, being present. Embracing the joy to be found in even the most fleeting of moments and shared experiences.”
Catherine has focused more of her attention on the healing power of nature following her cancer battle last year.
With the release of this latest video, she shared a brief message, saying that “It has never been more important to appreciate the value of one another, and of Mother Nature. Here’s to summer. C.”
In the Mother Nature: Summer video, the Princess of Wales encourages people to “open your hearts. Sing, dance, play. The days are still long, so simply love and be loved.” In the Spring video, she called it “a season of rebirth, of hope and new beginning.”
Earlier this year, Catherine spoke at length of her love of nature and its healing aspects. In a video released for the Scouts, she said: “I find it a very spiritual and very intense emotional reconnection I suppose, these environments. Not everyone has that same relationship perhaps with nature, but it is so therefore meaningful for me as a place to balance and find a sort of sense of peace and reconnection in what is otherwise a very busy world.”
