The Rip, which happens to be the latest film of masterminds and close pals Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, made a massive splash on Netflix upon its release, debuting with 41.6 million views in its first three days on the streaming giant. And yet, it still fell short of the streamer’s best 2025 debut: Adam Sandler‘s Happy Gilmore 2.
Turns out, Affleck and Damon’s latest action movie has marked the biggest film opening on Netflix since Sandler’s film hit 46.7 million views in July.
