Long-time Hollywood friends and stars Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have worked on numerous projects together, both in front of and behind the camera. 2026 is finally bringing them back together, this time for a new Netflix original that is getting ready to be released.
Set to debut on Netflix on January 16, The Rip stars Affleck and Damon as Detective Sergeant Jd Byrne and Lieutenant Dane Dumars, respectively. With less than two weeks away, Netflix has released a new trailer for the upcoming film. Check it out below:
The Rip was directed and written by Joe Carnahan, who worked on the story with Michael McGrale, with the film being inspired by a true crime story.
