Sony Pictures has officially announced the sequel to The Social Network. Aaron Sorkin, who wrote the first film, will return to write and direct the follow-up, now titled The Social Reckoning.
The movie is set to hit theaters on October 9, 2026, during the Indigenous Peoples’ Day holiday weekend.
The main cast has also been confirmed, following initial reports from Deadline’s Justin Kroll. Oscar nominee Jeremy Strong will take on the role of Mark Zuckerberg.
Mikey Madison, an Oscar winner, will play whistleblower Frances Haugen, while Jeremy Allen White, known for his Golden Globe and Emmy wins, will portray Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horowitz, who reported on the “Facebook Files.
