So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

NIONTAY – “100DAYS100NIGHTS”

Brooklyn-via-Florida underground rapper Niontay isn’t done with 2025 yet. He just announced a new mixtape, Soulja Hate Repellent, arriving December 16 (his second project of the year). The first single is “100DAYS100NIGHTS,” an oddball trap song that’s equal parts murky and sinister.

TOMORA (MEM CHEMICAL BROTHERS) – “RING THE ALARM”

The Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands and singer AURORA, have formed new duo TOMORA and released their debut single, the trippy, heady “Ring the Alarm.” They say: “We wanted TOMORA to be a band, not two individuals. It’s our musical feeling come to life.”

THE SOFTIES – “TURN IT UP” (LISA PRANK COVER)

“I cried when I heard this cover,” Lisa Prank says of this version of “Turn It Up” by indiepop vets The Softies. “The Softies are one of my favorite bands and some of my dearest friends, so it’s hard to fully explain how much it means to me that they covered my song so incredibly beautifully. I wish I could whisper this information into the ears of a younger version of myself and blow her mind.”

GREGORY CORSO & MARIANNE FAITHFULL -“NO ARRANGEMENT WAS MADE”

Poet Gregory Corso’s 2002 album Die On Me featured his final spoken word recordings as produced by Hal Willner and it was just reissued by Shimmy-Disc. They’ve just released a new video for “No Arrangement Was Made” which features the great Marianne Faithfull. Says Kramer: “Corso at his best, as he is here, cannot be matched. As Ginsberg so often said, ‘He is the greatest of us all.’”

DISCLOSURE – “DEEPER” FT. LEON THOMAS

“Wow what a year this man has had and rightfully so,” Disclosure say of Leon Thomas, who joins them on their new single “Deeper.” “So gassed to have him on this one- we reached out after we heard ‘Mutt’ and were delighted to find out he was a mutual fan of ours. We knew his voice was gonna slot in just perfectly over this beat. Probably played him 2 others that day but it was just obvious this one was meant to be. Fun fact, the beat was named ‘Aquatic’ for the longest time.. guess because of the bubbly, underwater nature of the sounds used. So we just rolled with that theme for the lyrics & wrote the whole thing in an afternoon in LA. Leon is a beast in the studio, lyrically and production wise. It was a privilege to do this one together. Need to get some underwater headphones and get in the sea for this one.”

GUNS N’ ROSES – “NOTHIN’” & “ATLAS”

While there’s still no official word on the new Guns N’ Roses album they’ve been hinting at — their last was the infamously delayed Chinese Democracy, which finally got a release in 2008 — they have been releasing singles every couple years. And today comes two more: “Nothing’” and “Atlas” are both in swaying power ballad mode, that each run through a bunch of tempo and mood shifts in around four minutes, hitting some flashy GN’R signature moves along the way.
