From religious traditions to original American music to burlesque performances, New Orleans has so much culture to try — enough for popular video producers The Try Guys to dedicate a whole season to the Crescent City.
The Try Guys, a group of four men who test a wide array of activities and experiences, debuted their season in New Orleans on their streaming platform 2nd Try in February. The group is led by comedy duo Zach Kornfeld and Keith Habersberger, who both got their start at BuzzFeed.
Three episodes have been released as of Friday, and the group has taken on a burlesque performance, jazz and voodoo.
A post promoting the most recent episode focused on voodoo features Priest Robi, a New Orleans voodoo priest who hosts tours. The clip shows Robi explaining the differences between actual voodoo practices and stereotypical Hollywood depictions.
The first three episodes of The Try Guys’ New Orleans season are available to watch on 2nd Try, the guys’ boutique streaming platform.
