It was certainly a choice.

“The View” raised eyebrows this Halloween when the daytime talk show dressed two children up as the now-infamous Coldplay kiss cam couple for Friday’s holiday episode.

During the show’s annual “Boo Are You Wearing?” segment, co-host Sara Haines and wardrobe supervisor Ashley Alderfer Kaufman introduced a lineup of kids in costumes inspired by some of 2025’s biggest pop culture moments.

In true “View” fashion, the choices were as chaotic as they were creative. But none surprised fans more than the pint-sized recreation of the Coldplay scandal.

It began when two youngsters stepped out onto “The View” stage as the embattled couple. One held their hands to their face in mock shock as the other ducked sheepishly out of frame, mimicking the viral footage.

“During lead singer Chris Martin’s jumbotron song, the CEO and HR director of the company Astronomer got caught on the big screen,” Kaufman explained as the kids showed off their costumes.

“In a panic, the two turned away from the camera, and the moment quickly went viral,” she added.

While Haines and her co-hosts struggled to keep a straight face during the segment, the audience laughed and clapped along.

“Oh my gosh, I love that one,” Haines responded as the young pair finished and walked off stage. “So who do we have next?”

The surprising moment referenced the incident that unfolded during Coldplay’s Gillette Stadium concert in Foxborough, Massachusetts, back in July.

Andy Byron, then-CEO of Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, the firm’s former Chief People Officer, were caught sharing an intimate moment on the venue’s jumbotron kiss cam.

The clip quickly spread across social media, and both executives ultimately left the company amid the ensuing controversy.

Meanwhile, the rest of the “Boo Are You Wearing?” segment proved equally headline-grabbing.

Another duo appeared as Elphaba and Glinda from “Wicked” and the movie’s upcoming sequel, “Wicked: For Good.”

The segment went on to feature mini versions of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift in a nod to the power couple’s August engagement, as well as a little Pope Leo XIV decked out with items from his native Chicago.

However, this wouldn’t be the first time that “The View” raised eyebrows for dressing kids up in questionable costumes for the show’s “Boo Are You Wearing?” segment.

In 2022, Kaufman dressed one child up in an outfit referencing the infamous Will Smith and Chris Rock slap at that year’s Academy Awards.

“We do not want to endorse violence of any kind, but we couldn’t help but talk about one of the hottest hot topics this year,” the show’s wardrobe supervisor said as she brought out a child wearing a gold bodysuit with a red handprint painted over their cheek.

“So, we have our interpretation, we have an Oscar’s statue, we call this ‘The Oscars Slap,’ and he has red face paint on the statue,” Kaufman added.
