These celebrities are reacting to the anti-ICE L.A. protests

As the anti-ICE protests continue in Los Angeles and crowds of protesters are met with opposition from the LAPD, the National Guard, and the Marines, celebrities are using their platforms to speak out against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids taking place across the country. Even though the demonstrations have continued, the pushback against protesters has also increased as a result of more protests emerging in different areas.

On Tuesday, June 10, thousands of protesters took to the streets of New York City for most of the day and through the evening, with celebrity.land reporting that the demonstrations were generally peaceful even when protesters clashed with police in front of the ICE office building.

Social media users are also urging their favorite creators and celebrities to speak out about the protests, asking them to use their platforms to inform their followers about the ongoing ICE raids. Multiple celebrities have shared posts with their thoughts on this situation — and here’s a list of standout reactions thus far.

Doechii

Doechii attended the 2025 BET Awards on Monday, June 9, and accepted the award for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist. As she took the stage to accept the award, Doechii used the moment to talk about the protests taking place right outside the venue.

“As much as I am honored by this award, I do want to address what’s happening right now outside of the building,” the rapper, who is a Florida native, said. “There are ruthless attacks that are creating fear and chaos in our communities in the name of law and order. Trump is using military forces to stop a protest.”

The “Nissan Altima” rapper urged the crowd to consider what type of government mobilizes the military against its own citizens who are protesting. “People are being swept up and torn from their families,” Doechii said during her speech. “I feel it’s my responsibility as an artist to use this moment to speak up for all oppressed people, for Black people, for Latino people, for trans people, for the people in Gaza.” She ended her speech saying that communities need to come together against hate.

Kehlani

Kehlani has regularly utilized her platform over the years to advocate for human rights. Earlier this week, she posted an Instagram story with text that reads, “Stop calling what’s happening as L.A. RIOTS. It’s RESISTANCE.” She added, “Long live the resistance.” After the BET Awards, she uploaded an Instagram story to share her support for Doechii’s speech.

Actress and singer Reneé Rapp, who performed at WorldPride DC and served as the grand marshal for this year’s parade alongside Laverne Cox, was stopped by a content creator asking what she thought about the Trump administration’s anti-trans legislation, to which she responded, “They can fuck off. They can die.”

Rapp also kept that same energy when uploading an Instagram story that reads, “Fuck ICE, fuck this administration, fuck all of y’all who are complicit in ensuring that this happened. This is a fucking disgrace.”

Pedro Pascal is a notable ally to the LGBTQ+ community and has spoken out in support of his trans sister, Lux Pascal, on multiple occasions. he’s also condemned J.K. Rowling’s transphobic rhetoric. Recently, the Marvel actor uploaded a video to Instagram showing his support for the immigrant community, not only in LA but across the country.

“Los Ángeles. Built by the best of U.S. #Protect our #Protectors #RESIST,” the caption reads.

Rebecca Black

Rebecca Black has also taken to her Instagram stories to share her support for the protestors taking to the streets. “I [heart] LA,” her text post reads. “FUCK ICE. FUCK ALL OF YOU GI JOE LOSERS IF YOU ARE INTO THIS FASCIST SHIT YOU ARE SMALL AND WEAK AND WILL LOSE.”
