These Stars Earned Their Place On The Hollywood Walk of Fame In 2025

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Since its completion in 1961 — when visitors began walking on the original 1,558 stars on Tinseltown’s sidewalks — the Hollywood Walk of Fame has added over 1,000 new stars.

This year included some major milestones: actress Lisa Lu became the oldest person to be awarded a star at age 98. Two posthumous stars were awarded: to the late Marvel star Chadwick Boseman and playwright August Wilson.

They joined the likes of Mindy Kaling, Billie Jean King, Trisha Yearwood and many others who received stars on the walk of fame. The most recent star, for Courtney B. Vance, marked the 2,831stplaque installed in the sidewalks of Hollywood Boulevard and surrounding streets.

Below find a list of everyone who received a Walk of Fame star in 2025.

But also, I’m obsessed with legacy, so sometimes I get disappointed that I won’t have a grave,” Kaling said at her ceremony, NBC News reported. “But this, this is so much better than a grave.”

Amazing,” King said. “Now you’re kind enough to give me a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, just like them.”
