NYSPHSAA football championships
The NYSPHSAA football championships take place in the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse.
The schedule is as follows:
- Class D Final, 3 p.m. Friday: Tuckahoe vs. Tioga
- Class A Final, 6 p.m. Friday: Rye vs. Brighton
- Class C Final, noon Saturday: Bronxville vs. Chenango Forks
- Class B Final, 3 p.m. Saturday: Sleepy Hollow vs. Monroe
- Class AA Final, 6 p.m. Saturday: Saratoga Springs vs. Christian Brothers Academy (Syracuse)

Wicked’ at Syracuse’s Landmark Theatre
Experience the Broadway sensation “Wicked” at the Landmark Theatre. The showtimes run through the weekend with a show on Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday 1:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Keep Going Christmas Market
Visit the Keep Going Christmas Market at Kelsey’s Coffee and Friends on Sunday from 10 a.m.– 3 p.m., to find vintage and handmade goods, candles, art and more. There will be a food drive at the market as well, to benefit the Westcott Community Center. Nonperishable donations are appreciated. This event is free and open to the public.

The Cayuga Lake Wine Trail Holiday Shopping Spree
Cayuga Lake Wine Trail’s Holiday Shopping Spree is this weekend from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Visitors will stop at the 10 participating wineries along the trail and can shop for gifts and or grab a glass. Tickets are good for all three days, so visitors can spread out their visit if desired.
Tickets include:
- 1 wine and food pairing per winery, per person
- 3 additional wine tastings per winery, per person
- 1 set of handcrafted wooden nutcracker ornaments per ticket (1 per single, designated driver and couples ticket)
- 1 recipe collection per ticket
- 1 souvenir wine glass per person

Michael Jensen memorial hockey game
The second annual Michael Jensen memorial hockey game will take place on Saturday beginning at 12 p.m. at the OnCenter War Memorial Arena. The game is open to the public and entry is $5. All proceeds will benefit Law Enforcement United, a group which honors fallen officers and supports affected families.
Plowshares Craftsfair and Peace Festival
The Plowshares Craftsfair and Peace Festival is celebrating their 55th annual event this year. The fair takes place on Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. There will be vendors, live entertainment and food by local food trucks. The event is free and open to the public
