The free event, which invites donations, will be hosted at South Somerset Music Centre, on Tuesday, May 26, from 2pm to 3.30pm.
Led by Lizzie Holyoak, attendees will delve into Vally Lasker’s solo piano transcription of the renowned work.
This piece will also feature in Duncan Honeybourne’s upcoming piano recital.
The examination will cover the adaptation process from orchestral to solo piano, focusing on preserving the symphony’s core elements.

Wild Fenn and Conor Smith
Indie folk will take centre stage at The David Hall this weekend as part of Greenshoots Live III.
Devon-based band Wild Fenn are set to perform in South Petherton on Saturday, May 23.
The group is known for their nature-inspired lyrics and harmonies, with previous singles featured on BBC Introducing.
They have previously played at the Great Estate Festival in 2022 and 2024, and at Tunes in the Park in 2024.
The evening will also include a set from Conor Smith.
The start time is 8pm.

The Unfriend by Steven Moffat
A play is set to take centre stage at a theatre in Yeovil this week.
The Unfriend opened at the Swan Theatre on Monday, May 18, and will run until Saturday, May 23.
The play follows the tale of Peter and Debbie, who, after 20 years of marriage, are enjoying a cruise and a break from their annoying teenagers, when they meet a suspiciously friendly fellow passenger named Elsa.

Boyband in the Buff: starring Gareth Gates
Pop star Gareth Gates will perform with a troupe of shirtless singers in Yeovil.
Boyband in the Buff promises a nostalgic mix of ’90s and ’00s hits – with “nothing but harmonies, dance moves, and a whole lot of skin”, according to the organisers.
Mr Gates will join cast members at Westlands Entertainment Venue on Thursday, May 21.
The show features music from Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Blue, and Take That.
