MARION, Ill. (KFVS) – In Williamson County, a first-of-its-kind attraction in southern Illinois is getting ready to open, and it is bringing hundreds of new jobs with it.
According to management, the new Thrillhouse Family Entertainment Center is set to open on December 1, 2026.
They are looking to fill up to 200 positions and get those folks trained before the big day.
David Stoner has been looking for a job for nearly six months.
“It’s been pretty difficult, because most of the time you have to apply online and you just don’t hear back,” he said.
Stoner said being able to meet and be interviewed on the spot is an opportunity he could not pass up.
“It’s nice to finally be able to sit down in a room with the hiring team,” he said.
Michelle Myers is the new general manager for Thrillhouse. She said she is excited to bring the new family entertainment center to life.
“We have lots of training coming. We need to get them in there and trained well so our opening will be flawless.”
Myers said she is having no problem finding good people to fill these roles.
“We’ve already had 50 interviews of applicants. So, a really good turnout. We’re very pleased.”
The two-day hiring event continues on Thursday, October 23 at the Kokopelli Golf Clubhouse from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
