Music industry entrepreneur Ricardo Vinas‘ Thrive Music collective has freshly announced the October 31 debut of its new sub-label, HOUSE RULES.

Los Angeles-based record label Thrive Music has been a frontrunner in dance music for decades. On October 31, the label will further bolster its role in this space with the official launch of its newly announced house and techno imprint, HOUSE RULES.

This Halloween, Thrive will officially cut the ribbon, opening HOUSE RULES’ highly anticipated music catalog with a high-octane club record, “Like A Cholo,” from burgeoning Bay Area producer BOLO THE DJ. Looking ahead, Thrive Music has confirmed additional impending releases from Lucas Bahr, Mareels, and more.

“It’s about feel, not format,” said their label team. “Great dance music doesn’t need to fit inside a formula. HOUSE RULES was built for artists who sit between the underground and the mainstream—records that hit hard in the club but still carry personality and cultural edge.”

Launched in 1998 by Ricardo Vinas, Thrive Music has helped launch the careers of superstars and has become a home for unique projects and film scores, with roots and global influence primarily defined by its role in the electronic music scene. The label boasts some of the most important dance records of the 21st century, with an extensive catalog of releases from artists such as Steve Aoki, Fatboy Slim, Duck Sauce, A-Trak, Mark Ronson, Moby, Nicky Romero, and Moore Kismet, among many others. Their current roster includes ACRAZE, GUDFELLA, Wuki, Jerro, and more.

With an aim to drive globally inclusive house records, HOUSE RULES just might become a catalyst for both sound and culture. Ahead of the brand new label’s inaugural release, feel free to submit your music to the team for release consideration.
