Tickets for the ‘big three’ of the nightly entertainment at the Scotts Bluff County go on sale Wednesday morning.
Starting at 9 a.m., you can get your advance tickets for the Truck and Tractor Pull Thursday, July 30, the Friday night concert Montgomery Gentry featuring Eddie Montgomery, and the ever-popular Rubber Check Race, marking it’s 43rd year on Saturday, August 1.
Fair Manager Lanna Hubbard says tickets for those events and others will all be general admission, with the tickets for the Rubber Check Race offered by section.
Hubbard says there will be special ‘patriotic’ deal on the concert. “We’re doing a week-long sale, purchasing your ticket for the $17.76. And we will do a week of that, and then the next tier will be, they’ll go to $25, but you have the option to buy a second ticket for $20,” said Hubbard, “and then we’ll go into the third tier where they go to, I believe, $30 or $35.
Advance tickets for other events, such as the motocross and Chore-Time Relays will be handled by the sponsoring organizations, and will be sold at the door, and for a new event that’s still coming together, those sales will be announced at a later date.
Hubbard says the new event on Thursday, July 29 will be a version of a ‘children’s rodeo’. “It has mini bulls and there’s different sessions for that. There’s a walk-trot, and I’m talking these are young children that are able to do this, basically they walk the bull out and I think they just get to ride. And then we’ll add some mutton busting, which is always a crowd favorite,” Hubbard says, “And we’re working on the mini pony races. It’s kind of… they gotta mug and get them, you know, get them set and someone on them. So, we’re hoping to get that event in and everything. So yeah, we’re excited about that.”
