Tiger Woods’ ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, is reportedly “concerned” after the golf star was charged with driving under the influence following a car crash in Florida on Friday.
“The kids are close with Tiger, so of course Elin cares too,” an unnamed source told People. “She wants him to be well. Both kids are great and love spending time with their dad. Elin’s concerned that he had another car crash and got arrested.”
No one was injured in the rollover crash just after 2 p.m. on Jupiter Island in Florida. Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said Woods showed “signs of impairment” at the incident, but his Breathalyzer test was normal. Woods refused to take a urine test, the sheriff said.
She and Woods divorced the next year following reports of his serial infidelity.
The two share daughter Sam, 18, and son Charlie, 17, and were reportedly recently seen celebrating their son’s high school golf achievement last month.
Woods was involved in another car accident in 2021 in Los Angeles, where he sustained serious injuries that required surgery. The source who told People about Nordegren’s concern said Woods’ recovery from that incident “was brutal.”
Nordegren “just wants him to make the best choices for himself. It’s about his health and being there for the kids,” the source said.
