If you’re a fan of US late night television, today is a momentous and sad occasion.
Stephen Colbert is wrapping up his hosting gig on the CBS hit The Late Show, filming his final ever episode tonight.
He celebrated the penultimate episode with special guests including Billy Crystal, Martha Stewart, Mark Hamill, Robert De Niro and Aubrey Plaza.

The final episode which airs later today is keeping its guestlist tightly under wraps, but no doubt there will be some big stars joining Colbert to say goodbye.
