It was a night to remember for Tom Cruise and Debbie Allen after they each received an honorary Oscar at the 2025 Governors Awards.
Following the awards, the two Hollywood legends tore up the dance floor to celebrate. Videos of Allen and Cruise have taken over social media, bringing smiles to so many fans.
Actor Brandon O’Neal used Instagram to reveal a beyond-happy Cruise, showing off his dance moves alongside Allen and her sister, Phylicia Rashad. Allen was in her element, of course, given her extraordinary dancing talent, and Cruise was having the time of his life keeping up with her on the dance floor, whipping out some enthusiastic moves.
“Congratulations to Debbie Allen and Tom Cruise for getting honorary Oscars today ! WOW,” read the caption on O’Neal’s Instagram post.
But taking home an honorary Oscar is a huge achievement; fans in the comments couldn’t take their eyes off the Hollywood legends getting their groove on together.
“The joy all around!!!” gushed a fan of the much-deserved honors, as a different echoed, “The joy! So well-deserved!! 🔥❤️.”
One fan expressed, “Sitting here watching this with the biggest smile 😊” “So many amazing things happening in this video that I lost count,” said another fan.
“There’s nothing better than this.😍😍😍,” insisted a different fan, while another one spilled, ” So beautiful ❤️❤️❤️.”

A fan stated, “Ah those Allen women! Congrats to Debbie and Tom,” with another chiming in to compliment Allen, writing, “Miss Allen is the Queen of all Queens 🙌🔥❤️.”
There was plenty of love for the Top Gun actor, too, with comments such as “Love that Tom is fully immersed and dancing!” “Tom is having a time 😆” ““EPICCCC!!! Tom got soul!!!!” and “He is doing his dance from tropic thunder 😍🙌🔥🔥.”
Another video of the dance floor featuring Allen, Cruise, and Rashad is making the rounds on X. The footage is from a different angle but still highlights the fun being had by all, especially the Mission Impossible star.
“Look at his moves 😍 This man was born to dance. Someone give him a musical movie, please! 🕺🔥,” read the caption on the X.
The video had several fans wondering if there’s anything Cruise can’t do, with one fan even sharing a GIF of Cruise’s infamous Risky Businessdance scene in his underwear and button-down shirt.
What a truly incredible way to honor two Hollywood icons!
