Broadway’s biggest night is here!
The 79th annual Tony Awards — hosted by pop star Pink — is airing live tonight from Radio City Music Hall in New York City, starting at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS and streaming on Paramount+. Pluto TV hosted a preshow, the second-annual The Tony Awards: Act One, with exclusive content, including early awards announcements.
With 30 shows in the running, the 2025-2026 Broadway season resulted in some fierce competition for all of this year’s worthy contenders. Heading into the ceremony, the top-nominated musicals are The Lost Boys and Schmigadoon!, which each earned 12 nominations each, while Ragtime follows closely behind with 11 nods. Death of a Salesman, Cats: The Jellicle Ball, and The Rocky Horror Show all received nine nominations.
As always, viewers will be treated to some spectacular performances. This year’s show will include performances from the four Best Musical nominees (The Lost Boys, Schmigadoon!, Titaníque, and Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York)), as well as the three nominees for Best Revival of a Musical (Cats: The Jellicle Ball, Ragtime, and The Rocky Horror Show).
In addition, there will be several numbers celebrating major anniversaries, including The Book of Mormon‘s 15th anniversary, Chicago‘s 30th anniversary, and A Chorus Line’s 50th anniversary. Plus, Tony winner Leslie Odom Jr. will perform “Without You” from Rent during the In Memoriam segment in honor of those the Broadway community has lost this past year, as well as in recognition of the show’s 30th anniversary.
Fans can also expect a performance or two from Pink. Though she’s never been on Broadway, she’s a lifelong theater fan who agreed to host tonight’s ceremony after her daughter, Willow, convinced her to take on the gig. Of the show, Pink teased to reporters, “There will be stunts — and not just for me.”
The “Trustfall” singer added that Benj Pasek and Justin Paul wrote her “seven-and-a-half-minute opener,” which she assured will be “raucous and wild and ridiculous.”
