Batter up! These Cincinnati events will have you running around downtown like the Reds players run the bases with all there is to do this weekend. First up is Kids Opening Day, including not just a game versus the Red Sox but a mascot parade, Reds player red carpet and more.
All the car lovers out there should take a trip to the Cincinnati Auto Expo to check out the sweet rides. Theater fans can see a showing of “Chicago” at the Aronoff Center. And if you’re in need of a good laugh, see Matt Rife and an Impractical Joker perform their comedy routines this weekend.

1. Kids Opening Day
Enjoy a mascot parade and a Reds player parade on the red carpet, along with fun activities for the kids. Kids ages 14-under can grab a Reds cap (while supplies last).
Stick around for the game against the Boston Red Sox. After the game, fans of all ages can line up to run the bases. (Yes, even parents can get in on the fun!)

2. Cincinnati Auto Expo
Browse a collection of the hardest-to-find, highly desirable models. Sit behind the wheel at the Chevrolet Test Drive and the BMW Ride and Drive. Adopt a pet at the “Subaru Pet Park.” Young ones can learn about auto safety in the Kids Family Zone.

Set during Chicago’s “Jazz Age,” two of Cook County Jail’s murderesses, Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart, become fierce rivals as they compete for headlines amidst a media frenzy in this tale of fame, fortune and, of course, jazz.

4. Matt Rife
Standup comedian Matt Rife is bringing his “Stay Golden World Tour” to Heritage Bank Center this weekend.

5. James ‘Murr’ Murray
Impractical joker James “Murr” Murray is bringing his “The Errors Tour,” to Madison Theater.

6. ‘The Original Italian Dinner’
The 115-year-old tradition returns. Buy homemade ravioli (50 for $20), hand-rolled meatballs (10 for $10), homemade sauce ($10 per quart) and grated cheese ($8 per container) in support of Sacred Heart Church.

7. Queen of the West Burlesque Festival

8. Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Devou Park
Kids can participate in the traditional Easter egg hunt and a variety of classic games and springtime fun, including photos with the Easter Bunny and a petting zoo. Attendees can enjoy free food and browse vendor booths hosted by local organizations and community groups.

10. Telescope Fest
Join astronomer and eclipse expert Dean Regas as he and a dozen of his fellow stargazers show off their telescopes. Explore different telescope designs, ask experts questions and learn what equipment you can use to see and photograph astronomical events yourself. Weather permitting, view the moon and stars.
