As we approach Thanksgiving, it’ll be a quieter week than usual in November for live music in the Sarasota area, but there’ll still be plenty of notable shows taking place. One Sarasota venue in particular will feature a full weekend of concerts, including a band that appeared on “America’s Got Talent” last year.

A Bradenton venue, meanwhile, will host a Canadian progressive metal band that’s won two Heavy Metal Album of the Year Juno Awards (Canada’s equivalent of the Grammys), including earlier this year. And a Sarasota County restaurant and blues spot will feature shows by Blues Music Award-winning and nominated artists. Here are this week’s highlights. Event details are subject to change.

Fogartyville will kick off a full weekend of live music Friday with Nashville-based Americana and bluegrass singer-songwriter and guitarist Jordan Tice. Earlier this year, Tice released the EP “Badlettsville,” featuring some of his favorite covers and originals that are staples of his live show but never made it on to a previous release, including renditions of Bob Dylan’s “Tryin’ to Get to Heaven” and Randy Newman’s “Dayton, Ohio — 1903.” Tice also plays in the supergroup Hawktail, along with the Punch Brothers’ Paul Kowert and Brittany Haas. Kowert will join Tice at his Fogartyville show, with Josh Plummer opening. 7 p.m. doors, 8 p.m. show Friday; Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center, 525 Kumquat Court, Sarasota; $25, $20 members, $12 students ages 13 and up; 941-894-6469; fogartyville.org

Last year also saw the band release its debut album “Chapter One (The Long Road North.)” 7 p.m. doors, 8 p.m. show Saturday; Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center, 525 Kumquat Court, Sarasota; $27, $22 members, $12 students ages 13 and up; 941-894-6469; fogartyville.org

The band is a two-time winner of the Heavy Metal Album of the Year Juno Award (Canada’s equivalent of the Grammys), earlier this year for “Beyond the Reach of the Sun” and in 2018 for “Voice of the Void.”

Anciients’ other accolades include being longlisted for the 2013 Polaris Music Prize, which recognizes the best Canadian album annually, for their first full-length “Heart of Oak.” Nashville’s Howling Giant, as well as Tampa groups Spiritual Chaos and Parallel Motion, will also perform. 7 p.m. doors, 7:30 p.m. show Saturday; Oscura, 816 Manatee Ave. E., Bradenton; $12 advance, $20 day of; oscura.live

Lenée’s show at Fogartyville will feature multi-instrumentalist Katie Marie, with a set sampling both Lenée’s instrumental and vocal repertoire as well as unreleased material. 6 p.m. doors, 7 p.m. show Sunday; Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center, 525 Kumquat Court, Sarasota; $30, $25 members, $15 students ages 13 and up; 941-894-6469; fogartyville.org
