Popular artists are bringing their talents to the Modesto region, including comedian Paul Rodriguez, who will perform at the State Theatre. Lea Salonga will bring her Broadway magic to the Gallo Center, while The Fruit Yard continues its season with country music’s Dustin Lynch. These are just some of the entertainment options planned in the area Oct. 4-10.
Comedy at the State
There’s a double bill of comedy coming to Modesto’s State Theatre, including popular comedian and actor Paul Rodriguez. Joining him will be Pablo Francisco. Rodriguez has been delivering his humor for nearly 30 years, including with The Original Latin Kings of Comedy. Francisco entertains audiences with his characters, impressions and jokes.

Dustin Lynch
Country singer Dustin Lynch will play The Fruit Yard Amphitheatre in Modesto. A native of Tennessee, Lynch is known for hits such as “Small Town Boy,” “Cowboys and Angels,” “Thinking ‘Bout You” (featuring MacKenzie Porter), “Chevrolet” (featuring Jelly Roll), “Ridin’ Roads,” “Good Girl,” “Hell Of A Night” and more.

Lea Salonga
Lea Salonga brings her “Stage, Screen & Everything in Between” tour to the Gallo Center. The musical theater star will perform stage and screen classics from her roles including songs from “Miss Saigon,” “Les Misérables,” “Aladdin” and “Mulan,” as well as new songs from the Broadway and West End show “Old Friends,” along with other classics. Limited tickets were available.

“Dial M for Murder”
Gallo Center Repertory Company presents the classic “Dial M for Murder.” The adaptation of the mystery that inspired Alfred Hitchcock’s iconic film is the story of a man convinced his wife has been cheating on him. “He spins a web of suspicion and deception that will tighten around them and ensnare them both in danger, recrimination, and murder,” according to the Gallo Center website.

Modesto Symphony Orchestra
A program of Williams and Rachmaninoff kicks off the 95th season for the Modesto Symphony Orchestra. Selections will include John Williams’ Cello Concerto, featuring Turlock native Timothy Loo. The evening will conclude with Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2.

International Heritage Festival
