LMU Loyola Law School is expanding its entertainment law offerings with a revitalized Entertainment Law Fellows program that connects first-year students with industry leaders through mentoring and programming. In January 2026, fellows participated in a daylong forum featuring alumni working across television, music and international entertainment law. The school has also launched a new course focused on AI in entertainment and is preparing students to compete in the Recording Academy’s Entertainment Law Initiative Legal Writing Competition. Additional initiatives include a partnership with Variety’s parent company on a multicultural mentorship program and an upcoming cross-disciplinary collaboration with LMU’s film and business schools to train students in film and television development, production and distribution.
Oklahoma City University School of Law is expanding its entertainment law offerings through a new partnership between the Collaborative Clinic and University of Central Oklahoma’s Academy of Contemporary Music. Beginning in Spring 2026, law students will provide legal guidance to UCO music students as they build professional portfolios, advising on business formation and intellectual property issues common to working artists. The collaboration gives law students practical experience in entertainment law while helping emerging musicians understand the legal foundations of their careers. Through the Collaborative Clinic, students also represent clients in the music and digital media sectors, securing trademark registrations and advising on copyright protection, contracts and licensing.
