A beloved TOWIE star has sent fans into a frenzy with speculation that she’s set to appear in the upcoming series of Love Island following a cryptic post.
Joey Essex famously stunned viewers when he stepped into the villa two years ago, paving the way for future celebrity appearances on the show.
Now, Ella Rae Wise could be the next reality TV personality to enter the iconic villa in her quest for romance. The 25- year-old uploaded a post to Instagram that has left followers buzzing with excitement over a potential stint on the show.
Across a series of four photographs, Ella was pictured posing next to the legendary Love Island neon ‘love’ sign at ITV studios. Adding further fuel to the fire, Ella pointed towards the sign with a pen.
In her caption, Ella teased: “where next …? serving looks, drama, and all the iconic moments you guys live for. TOWIE is back ITV2 at 9PM every Sunday and Monday! Missed it? No stress babe, catch up anytime on ITVX.”, reports OK!.
Despite the caption being a nod to TOWIE, enthusiastic fans couldn’t resist voicing their excitement about the prospect of seeing Ella grace the Love Island villa.
Fellow TOWIE star Joe Blackman speculated: “@loveisland next???,” alongside a heart-eyed emoji. Another fan wrote: “Oh please say you are going on Love Island.” One queried: “Love island?!?” while another echoed: “Love island???”
One follower declared: “It’s definitely Love Island.” While another added: “I better see you on TV in June.”
This comes as Ella admitted she still has feelings for her former boyfriend Dan Edgar, though unfortunately there is no chance of rekindling their romance as Dan has since moved on with someone new.
Ella brought the relationship to an end before entering the Celebrity Big Brother house last year.
The former couple have since been reunited, recently returning to screens for the brand new series of TOWIE, jetting off to Vietnam alongside their fellow cast members.

During a recent episode, Ella was reduced to tears while confiding in her friends about seeing Dan again. When asked if she was “okay”, she admitted: “No it’s actually s***.” Junaid was heard saying: “You’ve got massive feelings for Ella and sometimes in life you just have to go with your heart.”
Ella chimed in: “You know what it is, when I broke up with him, one thing I wanted him was to come and get me back, because I didn’t feel wanted by him.”
When pressed on whether she regretted her decision to end things, she was visibly emotional, dabbing at her tears as she nodded in agreement.
She explained: “That’s not because he’s met someone else because I’m not going to lie. I regretted it as soon as I did it, but I just thought that he’d come back for me. But he didn’t.”
