Admittedly, it was tough for Travis Kelce to shake off his nerves before he met Prince William and his kids Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8, during Taylor Swift‘s London Eras Tour stop in June 2024.
“That was honestly one of the coolest moments ever, was meeting you and the little ones that day,” Travis gushed to William, 44, when he made an appearance on his and brother Jason Kelce‘s New Heights podcast July 3. (Airing mere hours before the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was set to wed the pop star at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, it was pre-taped well before the vows.)
And while the athletes were certainly enchanted to meet the royals, they did their best to keep calm and, well, you know.
“Me and Jason joke about it all the time,” Travis, 36, shared. “We were so nervous to meet you guys and the royal family. And Jason has this running joke where he didn’t know what to do with his beer.”

But, in fact, noted the retired Philadelphia Eagles center, 38, he really didn’t have a game plan for his beverage.
Cracking that it very much “wasn’t a joke,” he acknowledged he was afraid of having a proverbial flag thrown. “You want to be respectful and know what the protocols are.”

But once they had the chance to huddle up with the entire fam backstage, the night was sparkling, they didn’t want to let it go.
And for Jason—dad to daughters Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 5, Bennett, 3 and Finnley, 15 months, with wife Kylie Kelce—spending time with Charlotte earned a spot on his highlight reel.
“I have four daughters, and she was great,” he told William, who responded, “Congratulations on four daughters. I don’t know how you did that.”
It’s all about figuring out the Xs and Os, noted Jason. “Definitely a difficult task,” he acknowledged. “The hardest job.”
As for lining up opposite Charlotte, “She was so f–king adorable,” Jason detailed on a June 2024 New Heights episode days after the concert. “I cannot express how—I don’t know maybe it’s because I have three girls now—she had fire to her, she was asking questions. That was the most electric part.”
Travis offered his own post-game commentary at the time.
“If anyone is doing it right, Prince William is doing it right,” shared the athlete. “Thank you, Your Royal Highness, it was awesome meeting you. And Charlotte and George.”
No wonder William thought he might score an invite to Kelce and Swift’s white veil occasion.
When asked if he made the massive guest list while appearing on the Heart Breakfast radio show May 22, the royal suggested he was ready for it.
“No comment,” said the heir. “I’m hoping and I’m sure there might be an invitation around but we’ll see.”
Plenty of notable celebrities did have the chance to stand as Swift took her magnetic force of a man to be her lover.
We’re filling in all the blank spaces about the guest list. Because, yes, the pop star had a long list of invitees. And we’re writing their names.
Dakota Johnson
Come here, dressed in black now, the actress rocked an asymmetrical look for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s July 3, 2026 wedding in New York.
Zoë Kravitz
Best believe Swift’s longtime friend—and collaborator on “Lavender Haze”—was bejeweled in a mini dress and strappy heels for the soirée. However, her plus-one was a blank space, since her fiancé Harry Styles (also Swift’s ex) performed on London on July 3.
Camila Cabello
The “Havana” singer—who opened for Swift’s Reputation tour—was burning red in her deep V dress for the affair at Madison Square Garden.
Karlie Kloss & Joshua Kushner
No bad blood here. The former bestie of Swift proved that some hatchets can be buried as she stepped out with her husband for the wedding.
Ed Sheeran & Cherry Seaborn
After the storm, something was indeed born on the Fourth of July for both Sheeran and Seaborn, as well as Swift and Kelce, who will tie the knot July 3.
Hugh Grant & Anna Elisabet Eberstein
After attending the Eras Tour, the actor and his wife showed their love, actually, for Swift and Kelce.
Jimmy Fallon
One for the money, two for the show—the late night host wasn’t going to be a no-show for this one.
Machine Gun Kelly
The rapper, who has bonded with Kelce over their shared Ohio hometown, kept it 100 in his signature style.
Jason Sudeikis
The Ted Lasso star—whose ex Olivia Wilde went on to date Swift’s ex Harry Styles, fun fact—was in a rush to the main event as he was seen hustling through midtown Manhattan.
Maren Morris
She’s got class all over her. The country singer—who appeared on the re-recording of Swift’s Fearless album—sported a little black dress.
Gigi Hadid
For the model, it felt like a perfect night to dress up in a sparkling pink ‘fit and watch her BFF get married.
Bradley Cooper
A simple tux never goes out of style for a wedding. The Silver Linings Playbook star was dressed to impress in the West Village.
Kelsea Ballerini
And we could tell you, Ballerini opted for green. The country star and longtime fan of Swift stepped out for the wedding.
Miranda Lambert & Brendan McLoughlin
Quite the high profile date night. The “Drunk” singer headed to MSG alongside her husband.
Abigail Anderson
Besties with Swift since the singer sat in class next to a red-head named Abigail, a gilded Anderson attended with husband Charles Berard.
Tree Paine
Swift’s longtime publicist stunned in an off-the-shoulder neutral-hued gown.
Benson Boone
The singer came ready to see all the beautiful things at Swift and Kelce’s nuptials.
Ethan Hawke
The actor—who starred in Swift’s “Fortnight” music video—arrived at MSG to celebrate the couple’s love lasting far longer than a fortnight.
Abby Wambach & Glennon Doyle
After scoring coveted invites, the soccer star and her wife proved all their white diamonds and lovers are forever while walking into MSG.
Sombr
Ross Travis
So scarlet, it was maroon. Kelce’s longtime pal sported a suit nodding to one of Swift’s songs for the wedding.
Kimberly Schlapman
A little big moment. The Little Big Town singer went for something blue.
Jarret Stoll & Erin Andrews
Keeping it 100. The ESPN analyst—who recently vacationed with the bride and groom in Montana—and her husband stepped out in New York.
Matthew Libatique & Mary Ellen Libatique
Bet the cinematographer—who was the mastermind behind Swift’s “I Bet You Think About Me” music video—and his wife will be thinking about this date night for years to come.
