THE RUNDOWN
- Months after rumors first circulated that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce could be getting married on June 13, Kelce shared his plans for that weekend—and they don’t include a wedding.
- The Kansas City Chiefs tight end will be in Los Angeles to record a live New Heights episode with his brother and co-host, Jason Kelce.
- The couple has not shared their wedding date but are “excited” to tie the knot, a source recently said.
For months, rumors have circulated that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce would be getting married on June 13. Shortly after a wedding planner debunked rumors that they would be having their wedding that day at Rhode Island’s Ocean House, Kelce shared his plans for that weekend—and they don’t involve any nuptial celebrations.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end spoke on New Heights about an upcoming event for the podcast. “We’re going live! That’s right, we’re taking the show on the road,” he said. “New Heights is live in L.A. We’re taking our talents to the West Coast. We’re going to be at the Orpheum Theater June 15.” He and co-host Jason Kelce will be there to mark the start of the World Cup. “Let’s fucking go, U.S.!” he said.
Additionally, Kelce has a mandatory minicamp for the Chiefs from June 9 to 11, just before his Los Angeles event.
In March, ESPN’s Nate Taylor reported that Kelce and Swift would have their wedding before the Chiefs’ training camp begins in late July. There have also been reports that the pair plan to wed on Fourth of July weekend, but neither Swift nor Kelce has shared their actual wedding date.
A source recently told Entertainment Tonight that Swift and Kelce are looking forward to getting married, though. “Taylor and Travis couldn’t be more excited to begin this next chapter and look forward to the day they can call each other husband and wife,” the insider said.
Swift expressed a similar sentiment during her October Tonight Show appearance, speaking about how happy she is to be marrying Kelce. She told host Jimmy Fallon that Kelce is “just my favorite person I’ve ever met—no offense to everyone else. But the fact that this is the person that I get to hang out with every day forever is just like, that’s the whole thing. You look at that [engagement ring], and you’re like, ‘I’m going to hang out with him forever, and this represents that.’”
