GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A country music superstar is coming to Grand Rapids for a special holiday concert and a special supporting act.
DeVos Performance Hall has announced Trisha Yearwood will perform a holiday concert alongside the Grand Rapids Symphony on Dec. 17.
Yearwood has won three Grammys and has had five songs reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country chart, starting with 1991’s “She’s in Love with the Boy.”
She has released 16 studio albums, including “The Mirror,” which was released last month. Last year, the Academy of Country Music named her an ACM country music icon.
Besides music, Yearwood is also well-known for other projects. She has published several cookbooks and had a cooking TV show on Food Network that was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 2017.
Tickets for the concert will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.
