Donald Trump had a good feeling he was going to be president again in 2024.

The president opened up about the moment he knew he “was gonna win” while speaking at the McDonald’s Impact Summit in Washington, D.C., on Monday.

Trump addressed the crowd by saying he was “honored to stand before you as the very first former McDonald’s fry cook ever to become president of the United States.”

The president spoke about an Oct. 20, 2024, event in Pennsylvania where he “made the French fries” and served patrons at a McDonald’s ahead of the election.

“That line was a long line,” Trump said. He estimated that the line “had 25,000 people, so somebody let them know we were coming.”

“After I did the French fries and did some other things, I then stood at the window, and the people would drive up ― a little bored, in all fairness, you know, it is, I mean ― they’re waiting for a hamburger, OK?” he said.

“They drive up, like just, they look over ― ‘Whoa!’ Every one of them. And it was fascinating. Every one of them, it was, the response was incredible,” Trump shared, before describing the pivotal moment.

“Almost like I knew I was gonna win when I saw that,” he said.

Trump would go on to win the election just days later, beating out Democratic hopeful Vice President Kamala Harris.

“I like the fish,” he said, in reference to the company’s Filet-O-Fish sandwich, and then made an unidentifiable sound effect and gesture with his hand.

“You could do a little bit more tartar sauce, though ― please,” he told the audience. “Seriously.”
