Tulsa singer and songwriter Branjae has released a new music video titled “On the Ground,” a cinematic visual filmed in Tulsa that centers on resilience and staying grounded through life’s challenges.
Branjae has been a professional music artist since 2005, though she says singing, dancing and songwriting have been lifelong passions. Her latest visual pairs sweeping outdoor scenery with darker, more introspective moments, reflecting the emotional arc of the song.
The video was filmed locally by Native filmmaker Jeremy Charles, owner of Pursuit Films. Branjae said she wanted the project to feel visually striking while embracing contrast, blending open fields and sunsets with shadowed scenes that represent growth and self-reflection.
The concept for “On the Ground” came together quickly, developed in a single day before filming took place Oct. 20 during a five-hour shoot. The video was completed just hours before its scheduled Nov. 11 release, a date Branjae said held personal significance.
Looking ahead, Branjae is preparing to release her upcoming album and short film “Master of Ceremonies.” Singles from the project are expected to roll out in early 2026, followed by the film.
Branjae is also scheduled to perform an original holiday song, “Christmas Ain’t the Same,” during Tovar’s Christmas on Friday, Dec. 19, alongside other Tulsa artists. Her first show of 2026 is set for Jan. 24 at The Colony.
