Emerging South Asian indie artist TUSHAR is back with new single, ‘Lighthouse’, his first release since dropping his 2024 sophomore EP Feels Like A Start.
Having spent the past 12 months sharing stages with the likes of Ben Lee, The Clews and Winston Surfshirt, TUSHAR is ready to share new music with the world.
‘Lighthouse’ is a cruisey indie number with a summer vibe that also has a dark lyrical edge. The song was written during a period of hardship that saw TUSHAR experience workplace bullying while working away from his loved ones, impacting his mental health. Throughout this time, TUSHAR was supported by his partner, which resulted in ‘Lighthouse’.
“Lighthouse is about finding your way back when everything feels lost,” TUSHAR reflects. “I didn’t write it expecting it to mean what it does to me now. But life gave it that meaning, and I think that’s what makes it real.”
