Tyrese Haliburton takes shot at celebrity Knicks fans: ‘Too cool to get super loud’
Tyrese Haliburton isn’t in the postseason this year but he can still take shots at the Knicks.
“A place like New York has a lot of passionate fans, of course, and people love the Knicks,” the Pacers star point guard said on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday. “(But) there are a lot of celebrities there who are sometimes too cool to get super loud. I don’t know if it’s as loud as Oklahoma City.”
McAfee immediately challenged Haliburton’s claim, standing up for well-known celebrity Knicks fans Ben Stiller, Tracy Morgan and Timothee Chalamet.
In response, Haliburton said the Knicks are a “good team,” and that he looked forward to watching them in the NBA Finals.
What he didn’t say — but what any Pacers fan knows — is that the Knicks are 6-0 in playoffs series the last three years with a 24-8 record … against everybody except Indiana. The Pacers eliminated the Knicks in the 2024 and ’25 NBA Playoffs with Haliburton averaging 21.2 points on 49.8% shooting, 39.1% on 3s, and 8.6 assists.
