Unexpected stars Bella Vaughn and Hunter Johnson have reconciled less than one month after the couple‘s split.
Bella, 16, took to Snapchat on Monday, June 22, to share a photo of Hunter, 14, and their 15-month-old son, Wes, during an outing at Topgolf, according to The Ashley Reality Roundup. The teen mom also shared a photo of herself leaning in to kiss Hunter as the pair posed for a selfie.
“We back bby,” she wrote over the image, announcing the pair’s apparent reconciliation.
Bella has also added Hunter’s name back to her bio on TikTok after she previously removed it in May. She set a selfie with him as her profile photo on the platform and “liked” multiple comments from fans asking if they were back together.
Bella confirmed her split from Hunter via TikTok on May 29.
“This is the video I have been asked to make a million times to finally address it, and yes, we did break up,” she began. “I won’t go into detail why, but he lied to me and hurt my feelings, and two days later was talking to someone new. It was not a big deal, so yeah, there was no drama, no tea behind it.”
Bella’s mom, Falen, said that her daughter and Hunter planned to “coparent” their son.
Bella concluded, “Please don’t go attacking anyone, including us. I am better off on my own.”
The split came weeks after the couple announced their engagement.
“From promise ring to engagement ring, I’ll forever love you hunter wesley and i can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together🥹💋#tlcunexpected #teenmom #engagement #15andpregnant💙 #fiance,” Bella captioned a May 5 TikTok post featuring photos of a promise ring and a second gold band with a square-cut diamond.
It’s unclear if Bella and Hunter are continuing their engagement now that they have rekindled their romantic relationship.
The teen couple welcomed their son in March 2025 when the former was 15 and the latter was 13. Bella and Hunter later made their debut on Unexpected season 7 in February, becoming two of the show’s youngest teen parents.
Ahead of their TLC reality series debut, Bella took to social media to defend her relationship with Hunter amid backlash over their ages. (She revealed at the time that Hunter was 12 when they conceived.)
“I understand he was sexually ready faster than I was, and that’s OK, but I was ready when we had sex,” she said in a TikTok video. “You can all stop saying that it was illegal and that I raped him because I didn’t. It was both intentional. On both sides, people have already said that. We’ve already talked to the cops about it. It was consensual.”
Bella continued, “I did not ruin Hunter’s life. I gave, when I found that I was pregnant, I gave him the option. I said, ‘If you can’t do this or you don’t want to be here, that is fine. I understand we’re both very young, but I can do this on my own or with you. It’s your decision. Whatever you choose, I’m fine with.’ He chose to stay with me. He chose to take care of our baby.”
