Fresh off the back of an explosive performance on the Main Stage at Download Festival this weekend, where they opened Sunday’s early slot and left a huge impression, unpeople unveil the brand new music video for their latest single ‘friends’ – watch here.
Speaking of the video and its creative – directed by Zak Pinchin – guitarist and singer Jake Crawford explains: “With ‘friends’ being a love song (in a sense) we wanted to go with very traditional, borderline kitsch, themes and visuals. I think it offsets the seriousness and uncertain nature of the lyrical content quite nicely!”
The track is taken from the band’s unifying, genre-spanning upcoming debut album we are unpeople – out October 9th on SharpTone Records – which takes the philosophy behind the band’s name and turns it into a powerful, uncompromising statement of intent.
