Split, the 2016 psychological horror film directed by M Night Shyamalan that stars James McAvoy as a man with multiple personalities, has found itself a new streaming home in the UK. So if you’ve never seen it or you want to re-experience the thrills, let’s dive into where you can watch.
The film has just been added to Prime Video‘s library of films you can stream with a subscription, while it’s also available to view via Netflix, and Sky/NOW’s Cinema subscription options.
As expected from a Shyamalan joint, Split contains a pretty major twist, although this one’s pretty different to his usual rug-pulls.
At the end of the film, we see Bruce Willis reprising the role of David Dunn from the 2000 film Unbreakable, revealing to unsuspecting fans that Split is part of a shared universe. The trilogy was completed with the film Glass in 2019.
Both of those films are available to stream on Disney+, but that’s the only subscription service they are currently part of.

On Rotten Tomatoes, Split has a solid score of 79% positive from 312 collected critic reviews.
The Guardian called the film “an unpredictable, suspenseful little tale that comes together surprisingly satisfyingly, thanks to clever plotting and a truly committed performance from McAvoy”.
“A genuinely good film with a truly shocking twist,” io9 wrote, adding that the film would “keep you guessing and riveted until the very end”.

“Shyamalan serves notice he’s still got some nifty plot tricks up his sleeve and he hasn’t lost his masterful touch as a director,” the Chicago Sun-Times said. “This is a gripping thriller of the mind that’ll make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. It’s also funny as hell just when it needs to be.”
Glass didn’t review as well, with only 37% positive on Rotten Tomatoes, but we at Digital Spy liked it.
Our review reads: “Glass is a superb achievement as it wraps up a story set in motion 19 years ago, while feeling fresh in today’s saturated superhero market.”
Split can be streamed on Prime Video, Netflix, and Sky/NOW Cinema. Unbreakable and Glass can be streamed on Disney+.
