The day will feature a performance of Fauré’s Requiem, conducted by Rev’d Matthew Wood.
Rev’d Wood, who studied music at Lancaster University, has had a successful career as a music teacher in Kent, Surrey, and London.
Registration for the event begins at 1pm, with rehearsals starting at 1.30pm.
Tickets for the event are priced at £10, covering the cost of music hire and afternoon tea.
They can be purchased on the Eventbrite website.
The event invites both seasoned singers and those who simply enjoy singing along to join Rev’d Matthew Wood and an orchestra of local musicians for an afternoon of music-making.
The ability to read music is helpful but not essential.
An informal performance will take place at 5.30pm, and all are welcome.
