Meet Dyersville, Iowa, a small town with more than a baseball field
Dyersville, Iowa, is well known as the home of the “Field of Dreams” movie site, but the small town has more to offer to visitors.
After attracting tens of thousands to Dyersville and generating millions for the local economy, the multi-day music festival at the Field of Dreams Movie Site is set to return in 2026.
Organizers of the Velocity Music Festival announced that next year’s event will be held Sept. 4-6, 2026, in Dyersville. Details on the performing acts and the release date of tickets are not yet available.
Who performed at the Field of Dreams Movie Site in 2025?
Country star Tim McGraw made history Aug, 30, with the first-ever concert at the Field of Dreams in Dyersville. McGraw’s Saturday night performance alone drew an estimated 20,000 attendees, according to the U.S. Concert Agency. Another 15,000 fans attended Sunday’s Velocity Music Festival, which Canadian rock band Nickelback headlined.
Other artists to perform during the weekend included Hailey Witters, Ty Myers, Dani Rose, Brantley Gilbert and more.
Music festival at the Field of Dreams Movie Site generates more than $11 million
With more than 35,000 fans in attendance over the two days, the festival generated over $11.2 million in total economic impact to Dyersville, according to the U.S. Concert Agency.
The weekend generated an estimated 6,500 hotel and Airbnb bookings in Dyersville and the surrounding communities, with an average room rate of around $350.
Presale prices started at $99.99 with general admission tickets ranging from $69.99 to $110. Closer to the event, ticket prices eclipsed $300 on secondary sites.
